DeVito is a New
York city-born artist ceramic artist, Marie DeVito is a New York
city-born artist ceramic artist, who came to Bennington after a long
stint in Los Angeles as a talent agent-by-day,artist-by-night!
She began working with hand-built clay forms in Los Angeles, where she
was a member of the Cahuenga School. Her ceramic design pieces
reflect her eclectic background — combining bold West Coast colors with
sensible East Coast practicality, a pleasing marriage of freedom and
function.
She produces whimsical, functional,highly colorful pottery.
Marie's goal is making people smile when they see her work. She wants
people to want to reach out and touch them, and to feel good about
using them, or displaying them. |
