Linda Lee Crannell began her quilting life
at age 19. She was taught how to make a
quilt by her grandmother, Betty Smith.

Betty presented to Linda a challenge.
She showed her how to make a quilt top
in one day. Linda was intrigued. After purchasing all the material she would need, she and her grandmother began in the morning and after hours of cutting and sewing, she had the top finished by
evening. This project got her hooked.

If you asked Linda what she enjoys most about quilting, she would have a tough time answering. She mainly work with traditional blocks like the pinwheel, the four patch, and square within a square. These simple basic blocks are the canvas for which she can explore fabric patterns and colors. Linda loves to work with many kinds of fabrics: reproductions of older looking material, fabric collections by designers, and solid fabrics to name a few. Scrap quilts interest her alot because of its use a lot of leftover fabrics and the basic block elements
of quiltmaking.

Linda has a Bernina 1090 sewing machine. She pieces all of her work by machine. She does both machine and hand quilting. All her fabrics are prewashed to prevent the fabric from bleeding. She uses high quality fabrics and batting materials.

If you purchase one of her quilts, you will enjoy its beauty longer if you dry clean it. Keep it out of direct light to prevent fading. Quilts can be stored safely between cotton sheets and refolded often to prevent wear.
